CSKA players are facing a big and unexpected problem. Of course, on Friday at 5:30 p.m. they’re playing against Medveščak in Dom Sportova.
But as things stand, the Russian club’s arrival in Zagreb will greatly be delayed. Instead of arriving on Thursday afternoon, they will most likely be in Zagreb by noon on game day.
The reason: the arrival of U.S. president Barack Obama has closed the airspace in many European countries, and the CSKA players were forced to land in Voronezh, at city that is 500 kilometres from Moscow. They are to spend the night there and hopefully arrive in Dom Sportova by 17:30.
